A guy went to a car dealership in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania on Saturday morning in a 2006 Lexus and asked to test drive a 2009 Mercedes C-class that was selling for $14,900.
The staff went through their usual procedures: They copied his license, held onto his car keys as collateral, and let him take it for a quick trip around the block.
But he never came back.
The staff eventually called the cops, and when they got there, they found out the Lexus was ALSO stolen. Yes, this guy used his stolen Lexus to steal a slightly nicer Mercedes.
How amazing would it be if he started with, like, a 1994 Honda Accord and just kept slowly pulling this scam to steal better and better cars? Keep your eyes out for him in 2019, Ferrari dealers.
The cops are still trying to track him down.
