A two-day-old Chihuahua puppy ended up at an animal shelter in Detroit last month, after its mom got hit by a car. And he needed milk, but there weren’t any dogs there that were nursing.
So the people who run the place named him Bobby, and decided to put him in the same cage with a CAT that had just given birth to a litter of kittens. And it WORKED.
Gwen the cat accepted him like he was one of her own kittens, and they’ve all been living together for about a month-and-a-half now.
And here’s the best part. The shelter didn’t want to split them up, so they got the Michigan Humane Society to take them in, because they have more resources.
And now the Humane Society is going to take care of them until someone’s willing to adopt Gwen the cat and Bobby the dog TOGETHER.
