We saw an article online about how you can save money by ordering KIDS’ meals for yourself when you’re at a restaurant or a fast food place. And it also works as a DIET . . . or at least a way to eat fast food without OBLITERATING your diet.
Most of the value meals at places like McDonald’s have a thousand calories or more. Especially if you get a soda. And the portions at most sit-down restaurants are huge.
Kids meals tend to be around 600 calories, which is closer to what you SHOULD be getting. And sometimes they have healthier sides too, like apple slices.
If it’s fast food, it still won’t be the healthiest thing you can put in your body. But it’s something to think about the next time you’re in a rush and need to eat.
Some restaurants might not let you do it, or they might charge you a little extra if you’re an adult. Most fast food places don’t care though. If they do, just say it’s to go.
