Illinois Begins Accepting State Income Tax Returns Monday
(Undated) — The Illinois Department of Revenue will begin accepting 2016 state income tax returns on Monday. That’s the same date that the IRS will start accepting federal income tax returns. Officials say filing tax returns electronically and requesting direct deposit into a checking or savings account is the fastest and most secure way to receive a refund.
