Mary Tyler Moore Dead At 80
(Undated) — Actress Mary Tyler Moore is dead at the age of 80. She had suffered from a number of health issues since she had brain surgery a few years ago. Moore is perhaps best known for the sitcom “The Mary Tyler Moore” show, which debuted in 1970. She won multiple Emmys for her role as TV news producer and independent working woman Mary Richards. Earlier, she had earned multiple Emmys fir her role as Laura Petrie on “The Dick Van Dyke Show.” In 1980, she picked up a Tony award for her role in “Whose Life Is It Anyway.” In 1981, she won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Oscar for her role in “Ordinary People.”
