Americans Shelling Out For Valentine’s Day
(Undated) — Americans are paying for love. On this Valentine’s Day, the National Retail Federation says we’re likely to spend close to 140-dollars on our sweetie. Just on flowers, Americans are expected to shell out two-billion dollars on Valentine’s Day. Candy may be dandy with about one-point-seven-billion dollars spent on sweets. Jewelry is also a popular item today with one-in-five Americans expected to purchase a bauble for their loved one. How about a night out? Nearly four-out-of-ten people will hit the town tonight to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
