According to a recent press release from Illinois State Police, District 12 a three vehicle personal injury crash on Wednesday, January 22, 2017 sends three to the hospital. The incident occurred in Clark County at 300 North around 8 a.m.
Preliminary details indicate, Dalton Berry, 19, of Sullivan, IN (Unit 1) was traveling north on IL 1 when he failed to negotiate a turn in the road which caused unit 1 to enter the southbound lane. At the time Adam Burget, 38, of Fishers, IN (Unit 2) and Carie Jansen, 38, of Marshall, IL (Unit 3) were traveling south. Due to the direction of travel unit 1 struck both unit’s 2 & 3. Unit 1 left the road and came to a rest in the east ditch, while unit 3 ended up in the west ditch. Unit 2 was able to stay on the road.
Unit 3, who also had a passenger; 19 year old Kristin Earls, of Terre Haute were both transported to a Region Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. While unit 1 was transported to Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN and has been charged with improper lane usage and Failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident
