ABC is Developing a “Boy Band” Singing Competition Show

Just when we thought America was cooling off on singing competition shows, “American Idol” is coming back, and ABC is developing a reality show called “Boy Band”, which is going to assemble the next ONE DIRECTION, theoretically.

SIMON COWELL threw the guys in One Direction together while they were competing on Britain’s “X Factor”, and this will work in a similar way, with viewers voting individual singers into one final group.

There’s no word on any judges or hosts, but they should be announced soon, because it’s premiering sometime THIS summer.
