Rue 21 to Close Hundreds of Stores

Teen clothing retailer rue21 is closing about one-third of its stores nationwide as it focuses more on its online business.  According to a press release, the privately held company is closing nearly 400 stores.  The company did not say how soon the stores will close, though its website is promoting store-closing sales.  No word on whether the stores in Mattoon, Effingham or Terre Haute will be affected.
