Charges After Attempted Beer Theft At Garth Brooks Concerts
(Champaign, IL) — This is not what Garth Brooks had in mind when he sang ‘Friends in Low Places.’ Prosecutors in Champaign are pressing ahead with felony charges against a central Illinois man accused of stealing a cooler full of beer from the State Farm Center after the Garth Brooks concert Sunday night. Police value the cooler and beer at a thousand dollars. Police say they’re looking for a second suspect as well.
