Tradition!
Promoter Jay Goldberg has been telling the a festival story for 29 years and……..here it is! “Peoria has a long tradition and has always been a major influence in blues music. It began with the days when the blues masters would travel from Chicago, down the Illinois River to St. Louis, and then on to New Orleans. Peoria was, and still is, the place to stop. Even the blues men & women knew the cliche’, “Will it play in Peoria?” I hope you enjoy this year’s Peoria Blues & Heritage Music Festival. Don’t forget your lawn chair. It’s all just for you! “The Blues Plays In Peoria!”
