A 45-year-old woman named Guadalupe Gomez works at a nursing home in Grand Junction, Colorado. And she’s saving up to apply for U.S. citizenship. So she recently took on a second job working as a housekeeper at a hotel.
Last month, she was walking around near the hotel swimming pool around 5:30 in the morning when she heard something . . . looked over and saw a three-year-old girl FALL IN . . . and no one else was around.
So Guadalupe climbed over a three-foot wall . . . jumped into the water . . . pulled her out . . . and saved her life.
She told the front desk to call 911, and paramedics said the girl probably had about a minute before she would have drowned.
It turned out her parents were staying on the second floor. They called the front desk an hour later when they realized she was gone. Apparently she’s autistic and has a history of wandering off. And she was really interested in the pool the night before.
The local police held a ceremony for Guadalupe this past Sunday, and gave her an award for being an outstanding citizen.
