If you had steak yesterday, you probably DIDN’T have it rare unless that jerk on the grill undercooked it by mistake . . .
The website FiveThirtyEight.com wanted to find out how Americans like their steak cooked. So they got their hands on a year’s worth of stats from Longhorn Steakhouse.
And less than 3% of us order our steak rare.
Only 2.5% of people like it rare . . . 22.5% go with medium-rare . . . the most popular is medium, at 37.5% . . . 25.8% go with medium-well . . . and 11.7% like it well done.
The cut of steak we’re most likely to order rare is prime rib. The cut we’re most likely to order well done is a T-bone.
