A flood warning continues for portions of the following rivers and streams in Indiana: Big Blue River, Buck Creek, Deer Creek, Wabash River, White River, Wildcat Creek, and Young’s Creek.
Lowland to significant flooding developed quickly along streams following overnight rains of 1 to over 5 inches. Major flooding was reported in the headwaters of Deer Creek in Carroll County.
River flooding along the Wabash in western Indiana will be the highest since May. Lowland flooding along the White River from Spencer to Edwardsport will be slightly higher than levels seen in June. Flooding will last from less than a day to possibly a week.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:
Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.
