Answer the Call. Give Blood in honor of everyday heroes. The annual Mattoon-Charleston showdown returns Wednesday, August 9th! The Coles County Battle of the Badges, between the police and fire departments, from noon ’til six at the Charleston Carnegie Public Library and the Burgess-Osborne Auditorium.
Be sure to designate your team when you donate. You can vote for any department at either location.
Villa Pizza will be at the Mattoon location and Joey’s will have subs in Charleston. Angie’s Lil Bakery cookies while they last too! Presenting donors are eligible to win tickets to Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari and gift cards from local businesses.
