IL House To Vote Next Week On Education Funding Bill
(Springfield, IL) — Members of the Illinois House will be back in session next week to consider an override of the education funding bill. That’s the word that came yesterday from House Speaker Michael Madigan just days after the Senate voted to override Governor Rauner’s veto. Madigan insisted the bill that Rauner vetoed is a good one that properly funds Illinois schools. Rauner has said Chicago schools get bailed out by the bill.
