They say that there are a lot of vitamins and nutrients in the PEEL from fruits. At least I think they say that. I’m not sure who “they” are but it sounds like something they’d say.
But do YOU eat them? Here are the results from a new Buzzfeed survey that asked people what fruit and vegetable skins and peels they actually eat . . .
- Apple peel . . . 94% eat it.
- Potato skin . . . 78%.
- Carrot peel . . . 49%.
- Kiwi skin . . . 13%.
- Mango peel . . . 10%.
- Orange peel . . . 4%.
- Banana peel . . . 1%.
But if any of that sounds weird, the survey also asked people if they eat the skin off fried chicken . . . and 28% said NO. Now THAT’S weird. (Buzzfeed)
