Coles County Clerk Sue Rennels announced that petition packets will be available Tuesday, September 5 for those interested in becoming candidates for the 2018 General Primary.
County offices for which nominations will be made at the March 20, 2018 General Primary Election are Sheriff, County Clerk/Recorder, Treasurer and County Board seats 3,4,6,7,9,10. Voters will elect Precinct Committeemen of both the Democratic and Republican parties at the General Primary.
The filing period for petitions and forms is Monday November 27-December 4 at the office of Coles County Clerk located in the courthouse at 651 Jackson Ave., Rm 122
