Some people were recently shocked to find out that “Torn” by Natalie Imbruglia is a COVER. The original was written in 1993 for a Danish singer named Lis Sørensen, and it was later recorded by the rock band Ednaswap.
So, “Entertainment Weekly” put together a list of ’14 Famous Songs You Didn’t Know Are Covers.’ Some of them aren’t that shocking if you’re a big music fan . . . but it’s interesting nonetheless. Here’s the list:
