Fiat Chrysler Recall Over 640-Thousand SUVs
(Undated) — Fiat Chrysler is recalling more than 640-thousand SUVs because dealers may have failed to fix a brake problem during a 2014 recall. The recall announced today covers 2011-through-2014 Dodge Durangos and 2011-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee models. The recall comes after months of testing and concern that some dealers failed to correctly install a shield that prevents water from entering the brake booster, reducing its effectiveness. Some customers have reported instances where they have pushed the brake and their vehicle failed to stop, but no injuries have been reported.
