Shelbyville had been chosen to host a Smithsonian-produced museum exhibit next year. The traveling museum will be at the Lake Shelbyville Visitor’s Center from December 15, 2018 to January 26, 2019.
Also, the Shelby County Bicentennial Committee looking for local organizations that would like to create and host a companion exhibit. This exhibit would focus on rural American and Shelby County history. If you’re interested, please call 217-827-2806.
