The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Fayette County (and all the way to St. Louis, if you’re traveling) from 9pm tonight (January 9) to 10am on Wednesday (January 10)
The Dense Fog Advisory is in effect from 9 PM this evening to 10 AM CST Wednesday.
* TIMING…Areas of dense fog are expected to develop again tonight during the late evening hours and expanding overnight and continuing well into Wednesday morning.
* VISIBILITIES…Visibilities of one-quarter mile or less at times are expected for most areas.
* IMPACTS…Rapid changes in visibility will cause hazardous driving conditions.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Dense Fog Advisory is issued when dense fog will substantially reduce visibilities, to one-quarter mile or less, resulting in hazardous driving conditions in many areas. Motorists are advised to use caution and slow down, as objects on and near roadways will be seen only at close range.
