Panasonic Recalls 55″ Flat Screen TVs With Swivel Stands

(Newark, NJ) — Panasonic is recalling nearly nine-hundred of its 55-inch flat screen televisions with swivel stands. There’s a problem with mounting screws which means the TVs can tip over, posing a risk to children. They were sold to hotels, schools and businesses in the U.S. and Canada between 2012 and 2014. The units were manufactured in Mexico by Panasonic’s New Jersey-based corporation.
