The National Weather Service will be offering severe storm spotter training in March. Topics will include: Thunderstorm development and features; tornadoes and other rotations; non-tornadic events, and who to report to and when. Classes are typically two- to two-and-a-half-hours long, and there is no charge to attend. The next training session will be:
3/7- Gray Community Center in Bridgeport, 6:30-9p
3/8- Flora Banking Company, 6-8:30
3/12- Arcola (location TBD) 6:30-9
3/15- Buzzard Hall Auditorium at EIU, 7-9:30
3/21- Lake Shelbyville Visitor’s Center, 7-9:30
3/22- Effingham County EMA Office, 7:00-9:30
