Initial SpaceX Falcon Heavy Launch Set For Feb 6

(Hawthorne, CA) — SpaceX will launch its new Falcon Heavy rocket for the first time on February 6th. The maiden test flight of the powerful, high-capacity rocket will take place at the historic launchpad 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The big rocket will be able send almost three times as much cargo into space than current Falcon rockets. The payload for this first test mission will be an original Tesla Roadster, which if all goes well, will be put into a long orbit around Mars.
