A particularly brutal flu season continues to taper off. For the sixth week in a row, the Centers for Disease Control reports fewer people have been going to the doctor with flu-like symptoms. Hospitalizations for the flu have increased, however, five pediatric deaths were reported for the week ending March 17th. That’s 133 child deaths for the season. Flu season has been exacerbated because the vaccine has only been 25 percent effective against the most common form of the virus this year.
