April 28th is National Drug Take Back Day. You can drop off unused prescription opioids and other unused prescription medications at several sites throughout the area between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at Walgreen’s in Mattoon and Pana; the Sullivan (IL) Police Department; Marshall Fire Department; and the sheriff’s departments in Douglas and Effingham counties.
