A company called Dr. Brandt released a skin cream last year called “Do Not Age Dream Night Cream.” It costs $135 for 1.7 ounces, which is crazy. And maybe that’s why it induces insanity.
Apparently, the “dream night cream” is causing women to have serious NIGHTMARES.
A bunch of reviews have been posted about, quote, “vivid, creepy dreams” that happen when women wear the cream. And as one woman wrote, quote, “The dreams stopped as soon as I discontinued using this product.”
A spokesperson for Dr. Brandt says no one had nightmares because of the cream when they were testing it and, quote, “we have found no scientific backing for this claim.”
So why are all these people linking the cream to bad dreams? A neuroscientist named Rebecca Spencer thinks it might be because of an ingredient called citrus aurantium bergamia oil, which comes from a sour citrus fruit.
Quote, “It’s possible [it’s] interacting with other drugs the person is taking and it generally increases the side effects. So . . . with cough suppressants it can cause hallucinations and nightmares.” (Racked)
