Having black or red sheets on your bed might seem like a cool idea . . . especially when you’re going for that sexy“Scarface” look. But this could totally ruin the mood . . .
A new study at the University of Florida found that bedbugs have favorite COLORS. And they’re more attracted to dark red and black.
The researchers built little tents out of colored paper to see which colors they preferred. And they were much more likely to gravitate toward the red and black paper than white, yellow, or green. So plain old white sheets might be the way to go.
It also applies to rugs and luggage. So if you stay in a dumpy hotel that might be infested, they’re more likely to crawl into your bag if it’s black or red.
