The nominees for the “MTV Video Music Awards” were announced yesterday, and BEYONCÉ leads the way with 11, including nods for Video of the Year and Best Female Video. ADELE is next with eight.
The nominees for Video of the Year are: “Formation” by Beyoncé, “Hello” by Adele, “Hotline Bling” by Drake, “Sorry” by Justin Bieber, and the controversial “Famous” by Kanye West.
The snubs included Taylor Swift, who wasn’t nominated. She hasn’t released an album since 2014, but she did put out three videos in the past year.
The ceremony is Sunday, August 28th in L.A. There’s no word on a host or any performers yet. Voting is now open at VMA.MTV.com.
