There’s no law that says you can’t be an idiot. The problem is you might end up breaking a few laws BECAUSE you’re an idiot . . .
A 30-year-old woman in Cincinnati named Jasmin Artis got pulled over on Tuesday with an expired registration, and claimed she didn’t need one because she was, quote, “traveling,” not driving.
Which made no sense, because she WAS driving. Her five-year-old son was in the car with her, but that’s it. And it’s also not how the law works anyway.
But when the cop said her car had to be towed, she claimed the Constitution gave her the right to travel without police interference. Then she DROVE OFF, and it started a high-speed chase.
But she only drove about a mile before she pulled into her driveway, and the cop arrested her. Apparently she thought THAT was illegal too, because she started yelling for people on the street to help fight off the cop. Which they didn’t do.
She’s facing charges for resisting arrest, failure to comply, and child endangerment.
