A woman in Texas walked into a jewelry store with her two kids last month to sell a gold necklace. And when the owner asked why she was selling it, she said she didn’t want to, because it was a gift from her mom. But she needed money.
So here’s what he did: First he asked how much she wanted for it, and gave her exactly what she asked for in cash. Then he handed the NECKLACE back too, and said KEEP it.
Apparently his first name is Noah and the store is just outside Dallas. We don’t know his last name because he wants to remain anonymous. And we don’t know her name either. But she looks like she’s about 30.
We’re only hearing about it because he showed the surveillance footage to a friend, who posted it online. And it’s now racked up over 10 million views on Facebook.
First it shows her walk in and hand him the necklace. Then you see him count out the money. And when he hands the necklace back too, she gets pretty emotional . . . reaches over the counter . . . and hugs him.
And this part is pretty cool too. It turns out the owner is a Syrian REFUGEE, and he says his family wouldn’t be here if people hadn’t shown THEM the same type of generosity. So he told her to come back if she’s ever in a tough spot again.
