Someone outside Raleigh, North Carolina rescued a four-week-old kitten they found out in the middle of Hurricane Matthew last week.
And photos of it have been going viral, because they brought it to a PetSmart . . . and one of the employees put it in a TUBE sock to keep it warm.
They cut little arm-holes in the sock, so the kitten looked like it was wearing a turtleneck. And people online dubbed it “Tube Sock Sweater Kitten.”
A woman who happened to be in the store posted the photos of it on Sunday, then posted an update after a young couple with kids walked in looking for a kitten, and adopted it.
Apparently they got it for free, because it hadn’t been processed by an animal shelter or anything. So it still needs to be fixed and microchipped.
She said they seemed like they’ll take good care of it. And before she left the store, she saw them walking up and down the aisles buying stuff, including a big, fancy litter box. (LoveMeow.com / Twitter)
