If you are looking for a place to take the kids trick-or-treating or if you would like to have some Halloween fun yourself, be sure to make it over to Charleston on Halloween night when Eastern Illinois University will open its doors to area kids to celebrate the best candy-filled holiday of the year. Trick-or-treaters are invited to Greek Court on Halloween night from 5-7pm. A Halloween-themed children’s carnival will be offered in the “egg” at the center of Greek Court. On either side of campus, Halloween arts, crafts, and games will take over the lobby of Stevenson Hall, from 5-8:30pm. Competitive pumpkin painting will take place in the Thomas Hall lobby, and Andrews Hall will offer Bozo Buckets and “make-your-own” blow pop ghosts in the lobby from 5-8pm. Admission to all events is free, but donations will be accepted at Stevenson hall for the paradise Equestrian Therapy Center. Other seasonal activities on the EIU campus include the annual Fright Night concert, featuring the Eastern Symphony Orchestra at 6pm on October 30th in Dvorak Concert Hall.
