A familiar face and voice is back at the original Burger King. And this time, he’s the owner. Ernie Drummond has purchased the iconic Mattoon Restaurant. Drummond worked for original owner Gene Hoots for 25-years, and his family also spent many days and nights working the counter, flipping burgers, and serving up that famous soft serve ice cream. Drummond officially takes over today (3/3).
