According to a MPD press release, Mattoon police arrested a trio of suspects on drug related charges on Feb. 26th at 3:33 a.m. Bryan A. Shupe, age 28 of Mattoon, Maverick C. Bowman, age 26 of Mattoon, and Corey J. Mitchell, age 27 of Mattoon, were all taken into custody in the 2000 block of Western Ave after a traffic stop on a taxi.
Shupe was charged with Possession of methamphetamine. The charge alleges that he was in possession of said substance.

Bowman was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, and Possession of Drug Equipment. Those charges allege that Bowman possessed cocaine, possessed baggies of methamphetamine that were packaged for individual sale & delivery, and that he possessed scales and other items commonly associated with drug sales.

Corey J. Mitchell was arrested in connection with a Coles County warrant of arrest for the possession of methamphetamine.
