Illinois Senate Democrats Want Budget Cut List
(Springfield, IL) — Democrats in the Illinois Senate say they’re still waiting for a list of budget cuts from Governor Rauner. Democrats yesterday said it’d be easier to come to terms on a state budget if they had a list of where the governor wants to trim spending. But Republicans at the Statehouse say the Democrats’ demand is a ploy to bash the governor for proposing cuts that they don’t agree with.
