Hydrant flushing in the City of Mattoon will begin Monday (4/3) and continue until all lines are flushed. Flushing will be done weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Be sure to check for signs of discoloration before doing laundry. If you do notice discoloration, let it run until it clears up. Water is completely safe to drink at all times while work is being done.
