A Watson man faces multiple charges after a single vehicle accident yesterday morning. According to the Illinois State Police, 25-year-old Brett Tabor disobeyed orders by an Effingham County Sheriff’s deputy at the Route 45/Route 47 junction, where a tree and power lines were on the roadway. Tabor drove around the deputy further down 45 where he encountered an Illinois State Police trooper’s car with emergency lights activated. After going around that car, Tabor continued south and struck several branches of a tree across the roadway. He was charged with DUI Alcohol, reckless driving, no valid driver’s license, disobeying a peace officer, failure to yield to an authorized emergency vehicle, no valid registration, failure to wear a seat belt, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
