The National Weather Service in Lincoln has extended the Flood Warning for Jasper and Cumberland counties until Noon on Wednesday (May 3, 2017). Emergency management reported continued flooding of many count roads near the Embarras River in both Cumberland and Jasper County. Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. You should take necessary precautions immediately.
