Illinois State Police had their hands full following a Saturday afternoon accident in Vermillion County. The driver of a livestock hauler lost control of the rig, went into the median and overturned. Damage to the trailer allowed the cattle to free themselves. They went across the interstate and made their way to a nearby field where they were eventually corralled. Area veterinarians were called to the scene to treat injured animals. Some had to be euthanized due to their injuries. The driver, Robbie Miller, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, was treated and released from the hospital. He was charged with improper lane usage.
