Student Accused Of Placing Bomb Threats Against Springfield Schools

(Springfield, IL) — Charges are pending against a 14-year-old student accused of calling in bomb threats against several Springfield schools. Authorities say the threats were called in yesterday morning, forcing the evacuation of Franklin Middle, Lanphier High, Southeast High and Springfield High. Students at all four schools were moved to off-campus sites. The teen was booked into the Sangamon County Juvenile Detention Center.
