Governor Signs Sexual Harassment Laws
(Chicago, IL) — Sexual harassment at the Illinois statehouse is now officially banned. Governor Rauner signed a new law yesterday that explicitly bans harassment, and requires sexual harassment training for lawmakers, lobbyists, and statehouse staffers. The governor also signed a law that removes the statute of limitations on past complaints of harassment at the Capitol that were ignored for years.
