(New York, NY) — More than a million people packed into Times Square last night to watch the infamous ball drop and ring in 2018. Temperature at the time of the ball drop was ten degrees, making it the second coldest New Year’s eve ball drop ever recorded. The event was marked by unprecedented security by the NYPD that deployed thousands of officers, counterterrorism forces and police K9s to keep things safe.
