A Charleston woman was sentenced to two years of probation after pleading guilty to a hate crime charge.
Diana Yamamoto admitted to using a racial epithet against and man and threatening to kill him in the incident that occurred in August of 2016. Probation terms included payment of nearly $1,100 in fines and court fees.
