The Ben in Ben and Jerry’s ice cream is facing a noise violation after his arrest Saturday in Vermont protesting Air Force F-35 fighter planes. Ben Cohen was holding the demonstration in downtown Burlington blasting jet noise from speakers on the back of a truck. Protestors said it was a noise level similar to what it would be like under F-35s set to be based out of Burlington. The arrest came after noise complaints, which Cohen said was exactly the point.
