A celebration of the life of a young man who made all of our lives a lot better will be this Friday and Saturday.
Visitation for Anthony Vincent Sheehan II will be this Friday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, of Mattoon. Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Anthony was a 2005 graduate of Mattoon High School, the first student there to graduate with Down Syndrome. He also graduated from the Neil Armstrong program at Hawthorne School. Anthony was employed at CCAR, attended Camp New Hope, and was a Special Olympics athlete.
As he would have wanted, memorial donations in his honor may be given to Camp New Hope, or Special Olympics Illinois Region I.
