Mattoon Police arrested Brian R. Waldrop, 43 years of age of Mattoon, for the offense of Felony Theft. The arrest occurred on 3/9/18 at 11:31am in the 1100 block of Shelby Ave in Mattoon.
The charge alleges that on 3/8/18, Mr. Waldrop was at the Dollar General Store located in the 3400 block of Dewitt in Mattoon, and while there stole an electronic device from the store prior to leaving. The charge was elevated to a felony due to Mr. Waldrop having prior theft convictions.
Mr. Waldrop was taken to the Coles County Jail.
