(New York, NY) — The “March for Our Lives” rally in New York had a very special participant. Paul McCartney attended today’s event wearing a T-shirt that read “We Can End Gun Violence.” The former Beatle told CNN he was taking part on behalf of former bandmate and songwriting partner John Lennon. McCartney said — quote — “One of best friends was killed in gun violence right around here…so it’s important to me.” Lennon was gunned down by Mark David Chapman outside the Dakota apartments in Manhattan on December 8th, 1980.
