(Undated) — Rob Colletti, who is currently touring the nation in the lead role of the musical, “School of Rock,” says that while the play is a lot of fun, there are some important and serious messages between the lines. Coletti says that the show actually mirrors what is happening in our schools right now.
His favorite moments, he say, are often after a performance when someone comes up and says they are going to reconnect with their former musical roots. He says the the show carries the most important message of how important it is to be true to who we are as individuals.
Colletti says he loves when someone comes up to him after the and tell him they’re going to buy a guitar the next day.
Colletti says the lesson is as simple as letting kids speak for themselves, an especially important message right now with critics blasting the students from Parkland for speaking their minds
